The Last Challenge ( Week # 5) before the Holiday Break

I know I am late in posting and I do appologize but I got called into work yesterday early and worked a double shift.. So here we go..

'Tis the season to be jolly - Falalalala lalalala....

This will be our last challenge because the holiday season is upon us and we know everyone is busy preparing this and that, so we will be taking a break and returning on January 6th. Special note: I will be having blog candy prizes drawn for our followers during that time - so stay tuned! ;D

This week, our darling sweet Lyn is our hostess for this challenge for our fifth week! Lyn has challenged us with a simple task: use a black base on your card, scrapbook layout, or project. We want to see something black in the background. Even though the design team has been hurdling through all sorts of activities at home, they came up with some fantastic designs to inspire you:

Although Lyn is the Queen of Goth, some of us wanted to try our hand at "Goth" - pretty cool, huh? A change of pace, I'd say! ;D It was so much fun! Here is my Take on Lyn's challenge

So, we'd like to see your black base project (card, scrap page, gift box - whatever you choose). Once you've posted your project on your blog (if you don't have a blog, just e-mail it to me and I will enter it for you) with reference to the challenge here, come back and link it to Mr. Linky. You have until Tuesday, December 22nd at 12 noon. We will announce the winner and Top 3 on December 23rd. Then we will be on holiday until January 6th with a new challenge.

Wednesday Week # 4 Challenge

I hope everyone is having a great week with today being hump day! Getting ready for the weekend? Well, get ready for this week's challenge, which is hosted by the lovely Tanisha, who was just promoted to Petty Officer First Class! Woohoo!! She's movin' and groovin'!

Tanisha challenged us with "paper piecing." For those who are unfamiliar with this technique, it is simply piecing paper to the stamped/digital image instead of coloring that portion. You can, of course, paper piece an entire image if you so choose to do so. For this challenge, we just want to see some sort of paper piecing. Here's what the talented design team has made to help you get inspired:

Challenge Week 2: Pink and Red (Valentine's)

Hello fabulous crafters!

I'd like you to welcome a new Tellen's Place Design Team member: Michelle (MEG Bee Designs), a very talented crafter who has a blog filled with lots of crafty designs that will delight you. We're so happy to have her on our team! For this week's challenge:

Lisa, our beautiful and talented DT crafter is hosting this week's challenge:

Pink and Red...a Valentine's Day theme

What an awesome color combo! Lisa wants to see what you can do with these colors. She taunted the DT with this challenge and here's what we came up with:

This is My creation this week

I hope these will inspire you to join our challenge. We have a "freebie" for you to get you started but you are free to use any image you choose.

This week's sponsor is The Creative Cottage.

The winner will get to choose one of several digital kits as her prize. You know what's great about The Creative Cottage - these are so beautiful. I didn't think I could cotton to the idea of using digital papers but a blogger friend, Donna showcased so many lovely crafts, I just had to see for myself. I love it! If you wander over to Crafter's Delight, you'll see what I've done with some of these kits.

Right now, Tracy is giving a "freebie" of her own - go check out her blog and try it for yourself! PLUS, she is giving away blog candy - talk about a hefty prize...get on over there and check it out! :) Thank you Tracy for sponsoring our third weekly challenge!

Okay, to enter the challenge, make sure you post your project on your blog with a link to Mr. Linky of that project (not the entire blog so that it's easy to find it). Please make sure you post it no later than December 9th, 6pm (PST). The DT will choose a winner and the Top 3, which will be announced at the next challenge! Wow...that's a lot.

Followers...remember, we will have a special blog candy from the divine Lisa when we reach 100 followers. In the mean time, I will be having special "follower" prizes throughout the challenges because YOU are the reason for being here! Happy Crafting
