A little late but better late than never

I know I am running late this month but it has been a busy month for me which I like. Anyway this month my Scraptastic DT kit came with the Purus kit and it is yummy...... Mmmmm mmmmmmmmm good. I know it's that time of year when everyone is celebrating Thanksgiving in the States So Happy Turkey day to you all. I on the other hand celebrated Thanksgiving last month since I live in Canada but I wanted to wish you all a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving. Anyway on to the the blog hop.

What I am thankful for is my children, they are my love and life and they make me smile everyday. They love me unconditionally. I am truly blessed to be there mother.I am also thankful for all the wonderful friends I have made at Scraptastic Club the ladies are wonderful.

Happy Halloween

Today I am showing you the card I made for the Imaginisce Spook Cards challenge on there blog. I used some Hallowhimsy I had I wish I had the new lines but the store that I would get the new lines from closed down sigh.. Any way I alted a chipboard skull and added a snake using the Hallowhimsy line.Thanks for looking and Enjoy.


Welcome To My Nightmare

October is Here.....

I know I know I am a very bad blogger.... I should have posted before now lol. Well all I can say is October is a crazy month for me. I started a new job and it's day shift I am not use to working day shift. I come home around 4 pm and all I want to do is sleep.

Also on October 12th we marked the 8th anniversary of my mother's passing. It was a quiet day for me I spent it in reflection thinking about my mom...

Also I have a couple of layouts to show you that I made with my DT kit from Jessica at Scraptastic Club. This month I got to play with Nightmare On My Street Kit. Let me tell you it is packed with Halloweeny goodness yummy. You need to run not walk over to www.scraptasticclub.com and get your self one of these kits before they are all gone. Soupy Saturday

I don't know about you all but here where I am it's raining again.. Sigh.. I am getting sick of the rain, I wanted to do a total house cleaning today but it's a little hard when I have 3 boys underfoot. I want to send them outside but that won't happen today lol..

So instead I am going to clean my basement lol what fun that will be...

I'm waiting for my October kit from Scraptastic Club so i can work on my DT projects, I haven't pulled any pictures yet because I don't know which kit I will be getting hehehe it's so exciting. I'm like a kid in a candy store... I hope it arrives on Monday so I can get to work on some projects.

October is a hard month for me it marks to sad anniversaries for me first the death of my mother she was 52 years old when she died it will be 8 years this year, I was 7 months pregnant when she died on our Thanksgiving ( Canadian) and it was a few years before I would celebrate that holliday again. Now that I have 3 little boys at home under the age of 10 I started celebrating for them because they asked me to.

The second anniversary and the hardest for me is of my beloved son Alexander he would have been 18 years old this year and on October 29 it will be 5 years since he took his own life at the age of 13. I do not tell people this wanting their sympathy I tell them to make them aware that this is happening to our children and we need to do something about it. So the next time you want to donate to a charity or something think about something like the kids help phone line or a suicide hotline, you never know you may save a life.

Well I am done with my ranting for now. I need to go do some cleaning and get some medication for this blasted cold I have ughh I feel I'm walking around in a fog yuck

Weekly Challenge at Scraptastic club.

This week it is my turn to host the challenge over at Scraptastic Club and I can't wait for you all to come and play Here are the deets

Woohooo it's my week to host the next challenge and I have a good one I think for you all to try. I don't know about you all but my children started back to school this week so the theme of my challenge is back to school.Here comes the deets on what you need to do.

In this challenge you are required to use a school photo, also since it is school related we have to incorperate alphas and at least 1 number. Also we will have paint/ or mist on our layouts.What is school without some writing, so I need to see somne journalling on the layout.

To recap:

A school photo
Alphas
At least one number
Paint/ or glimmer mist
Visible journalling.

Here is my sample for you all to view. I used Tim Holtz Grungeboard Alphas and a generic chipboard 3. I used the Distress crackle paints by ranger and Tim Holtz, also used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Copper. Fancy pants Rusted Sun Papers, Bazzill, American Crafts ribbon and my handy dandy sewing machine.
